Indian-American Sunirman (Sunir) Ghosal, president of TechFirst, Inc. of Laurel (Md.), was among the honorees at The Minority Enterprise Executive Council’s 9th Annual National Awards Gala recognizing the achievements of “Fifty Influential Entrepreneurs in Business.”

The theme of this year’s event was “Applauding the Vision of Success.” This black tie event honored a diverse group of fifty entrepreneurs from across the country, including small and minority business owners, government and corporate executives.

Keynote speaker for the event was Rodney P. Hunt, president of RS Information Systems, Inc., the 35th largest federal IT contractor in the United States and the 13th largest African American-owned industrial/service company in the nation.

“I’m gratified by the opportunity to meet and associate with so many exceptional minority business leaders,” said Ghosal. “This event reflects the important role that minority businesses like mine play in the national economy.”
