Fine Art, A Family Affair,
Proof That Immigrants Heighten Culture, Says CMNProductions

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WALESKA, Georgia / PR FREE / Sep 03 2004 --
ATLANTA/PR FREE/September 3, 2004 - Immigration has caused many Americans to be outraged about opening our borders, but the Muzyka family is living proof that Immigrants can, and do, add to our culture.

A recent influx of immigrants are presently causing mixed emotions in the U.S. At the turn of century Americans experienced some of these same emotions when immigrants arrived through Ellis Island. Some immigrants come for protection, some to find work and some to join their families who are already established in the US. Pola Muzyka’s family came to the U.S. for all these reasons. The Muzyka family brought with them a love of music, art and other fine cultures. Pola’s Grandparents brought many instruments over from Russia including a baby grand piano, a large Russian “player piano” and a Stradivarius violin. Every one in the Muzyka household played an instrument and shared a love of music with family and friends.

The love of music tradition continues in the Muzyka family even today. The best of Pola's art and writing is accomplished while listening to the finest music. Pola’s Uncle Frank built the acoustical building where Les Paul first designed his famous guitar. Her brother, Peter, an accomplished artist, continually listens to music while he paints and is an avid collector of musical scores. Her son, Joshua, is a music major in college and hopes to write musical scores such as these some day. Two songs Pola wrote have been featured in a play in London, England called, “Is Dennis Really the Mennis,” and one of her songs from the play was used by Federico Fellini in “La Città Delle Donne.”

The Russian artist, Wassily Kandinsky, was an active participant in several of the most influential and controversial art movements of the 20th century. Now considered the founder of abstract art. Kandinsky was fascinated by the emotional role music played in inspiring art and many a curriculum now centers around Kandinsky’s findings.

Whether it is Russian blood or just coincidence, an enchanting fact about this love of music and art in the Muzyka family is that the Russian name Muzyka means music in English. "I'm presently designing some paintings and art photos around music and musical instruments," Pola confided. "They will be released early next spring. It only makes sense, doesn't it?"

Immigrants contributed to the important cultural excellence and diversity found in the United States today. Families such as Pola's will continue to add to an essential part of our culture for generations to come.

Many of Pola’s paintings designed while ‘under the influence’ of music can be seen and purchased through the internet at http://www.yessy.com/ArtByPola.

More information about Pola and her brother, Peter, is available at http://www.ArtYears.com or at galleries throughout Georgia.
