FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania / PR FREE / Feb 01 2005 --
Cinsearae R. Santiago of Philadelphia brings a new generation of vampires with her first published novel, "Blood Touch - Welcome to the Gratista Vampire Clan" (Publish America, October 2004) available now through the publisher’s website and major online booksellers (Amazon, Borders, and Barnes and Noble).

“Touching him made the air around me swirl, or so it seemed. I felt some sort of…spark, for lack of a better word. It made me nervous, but pulled my soul towards him, like there was something special about him. Something different…” And thus starts Alexandra Vega’s downward spiral into a dark, hidden world she never thought existed.

Taking place at a fictional college situated in Philadelphia’s city region, readers first meet Vega and quickly understand and relate to her isolated, jaded personality. She’s had it with guys and relationships, always giving her best when they give her their worst. Enter Dantalion, who spots her at the campus laundromat. Although Vega tries to keep her iron walls of reserve up, Dantalion immediately piques her curiosity with his otherworldly handsomeness; her intuition telling her there’s more to him than he’s letting on. What she doesn’t know is that this mysterious stranger is trying to escape a personal vendetta that could lead to his death and those closest to him.

At the campus Halloween party, it is here that she runs into Sallos. His quirky personality mixed with the fact he’s after a member of his family that needs to be punished for a murder they committed sends Vega fleeing in a panic, not to mention small similarities between him and her mystery guy - such as eerily pointed fingernails.

The story quickly progresses to a race against time. Sallos is hot on Dantalion’s trail, and in order to force him to admit to the murder, he takes Vega as hostage. On discovering this, Dantalion realizes his life is at risk if he attempts to rescue her from his clan’s home. Sallos has additional cards up his sleeve to make sure things go his way, which in turn causes a brawl to ensue between the whole family - plus a confrontation between Vega and a not-so-well-liked member of her own sorority - who also has ties to Dantalion’s past.

Things start to unravel when Sallos’ plans start to backfire on him. Determined to reveal the real truth behind the murder, Sallos’ cover-ups are exposed by Dantalion’s fellow clan brother and best friend Antonio, leaving no other choice but to force a fight-to-the-death between Dantalion and Sallos to determine who is innocent.
